Air New Zealand

 

Maintenance facility heating systems for aircraft hangars have the challenge of coping with extreme changes in temperature due to doors being opened and aircraft being icy cold after returning from recent flights at altitude. Highly skilled aircraft maintenance engineers must carry out their essential work without the distraction of dramatic falls in temperature.

 

Schwank’s installation for Air New Zealand of energy efficient, reliable tube heaters with multiple zone control is operated on LPG because natural gas is not available on New Zealand’s South Island. This maintenance facility heating solution has fully succeeded dealing with acute alterations in temperature and weather conditions encountered in this region.

Porsche Centre

 

The Porsche Centre at Würzburg in Germany includes a large workshop capacity with 14 work stations with lifting platforms. Their previous building had been heated by a hot water based warm air system which was not efficient enough for their needs.

 

The new Porsche Centre required a state-of-the-art energy efficient heating system suitable for this technologically advanced manufacturer, which was what Schwank was able to provide. Only four high performance infraSchwank radiant heaters with Schwank ThermoControl Plus M temperature control needed to be installed to produce ideal comfort temperatures. Significant reductions in energy consumption and CO2 emissions have also been achieved over the previous maintenance facility heating system.
